Mac Os Tweaks
Hi,
Thanks to this blog/community, I have successfully installed OS X 10.6.2 on my GA-P55-UD2/I7 860 Hackintosh. I am happy with the speed of the computer as well as the Geekbench 64 Scores (9400-9500) and the CPU temps (42-46 w/stock Intel Cooler) with SpeedStep enabled.
I was wondering if anyone could share some insight on how to best optimize the settings in MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.) for even better performance/cooler CPU temps?
I currently am using the values from the 'Load Optimized Defaults' here with the following exceptions:
In MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)/Advanced CPU Core Features/ , I have 'Intel Turbo Boost Tech.' and 'CPU EIST Function' set to 'Enabled' instead of 'Auto'
In MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.), I have 'Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)' set to 'Profile1'; this changes my Memory Frequency (Mhz) from 1333 to 1600, which is what my Memory modules support.
Are these settings ok?
Also, does anyone know what the advantages/disadvantages are of changing the value in MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)/Advanced Memory Settings/Performance Enhance from 'Turbo' to 'Extreme'? I currently have this value set to 'Turbo'.
Thanks,
Bruno
